Privacy Policy

Website policy and app terms. This policy covers the Linkstreams website and Collection Creator, and explains how the app works with the services you choose. The app’s own terms of use, which it shows the first time you open it and which are published at i.linkstreams.app/t, describe further processing in the app, such as Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. For the app, those terms take precedence.

1. Summary

Linkstreams does not operate a media catalog, user account system, or server-side watch history. The App stores your addon config codes, the collections you make in it, watch history and playback positions, settings and, if you connect one, your debrid sign-in locally on your device. We do not receive or track which collections you add, which addons you use, which streams you open, or what you watch.

2. Website Server Logs

When you visit this website, our hosting provider may automatically process standard technical data (such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the file requested, and your browser and operating system) for the limited purpose of operating and securing the site. We do not use this data to identify you, and we do not combine it with other information.

3. Fonts and Third-Party Assets

This website serves its fonts, images, scripts, and videos from its own address. When you visit it, your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other third-party service for them.

One exception concerns Collection Creator. Its own font covers the Latin alphabet. If you type characters it does not include, such as emoji or Chinese, Japanese, or Korean characters, the page loads a matching font from Google Fonts to display them. Google then receives your IP address with that request; we have no control over Google's processing, and Google's own privacy policy applies.

4. Collection Creator

Collection Creator is a standalone tool that runs in your browser. What you enter stays there: Collection Creator keeps your last draft in your browser's local storage, which you can delete by clearing this site's data in your browser, and never sends what you enter to us. To check an addon, Collection Creator loads its manifest directly from the addon's server, which receives that request, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy. For fonts, see section 3. We receive no data from your use of Collection Creator.

5. Peer-to-Peer Notice (the App)

When the App plays a stream over BitTorrent, your device connects directly to trackers, the DHT network, and other peers, and shares pieces of the video with them while it plays. It may also look for peers on your local network. As with any torrent client, your IP address is visible to these third parties. They are not under our control. If you wish to avoid this, use a trusted VPN, or play through a debrid service (section 6), where your device connects to the service instead.

6. Third-Party Services

The App talks directly to the third-party services you choose:

  • Paste services. Entering an addon config code, and loading a collection, make the App fetch the paste behind the code from the paste service (for example, Pastebin). The App publishes nothing: a collection you make in it leaves your device only if you copy its export and publish it yourself.
  • Stremio addons. The App asks the addons in your collection for their manifests, which give their names and what they offer, when you enter its code, when you add one to a collection you make in the App and when you open it, and for catalogs, title details, streams and subtitles. Each request goes from your device to that addon's server and contains what the addon needs to answer, such as a title's ID (for example an IMDb ID), a season and episode, a genre or your search terms. Posters, backgrounds and subtitle files are loaded from the addresses the addons give.
  • Debrid services. If you connect a debrid service, the App sends it your sign-in token and the magnet link of each stream you play through it, and reads your account status. The service downloads the torrent and streams the video to your device. The App also reads the list of torrents and files in your account, to show which streams are ready there and, under Your files, what you can play from it. Services that can tell, such as Premiumize, are also asked whether they have the streams of the title you open, which sends them those streams' info hashes. What the App learns this way stays on your device. While an episode of a series plays, the App asks the same about streams for the next episode, and sends the service the magnet link of the one it picks, so that it is ready in time, and of a second one if the first does not download. You can turn this off in the App's debrid settings, under Prepare the next episode.

These requests are made by your device to the third party, not to us, and the third party's own privacy policy applies. We do not control these services, and we do not receive your config codes, collection contents, addon requests, debrid sign-in, or media content from them.

7. App Configuration & Diagnostics

The App may contact a lightweight Linkstreams configuration endpoint to retrieve operational settings such as update information and the current in-app terms URL. The App may also use technical diagnostics to understand crashes and reliability issues. These technical signals do not include your collections, addon addresses, magnet links, media content, playback history, or watch choices.

8. Children

The Software is not directed at children, and we knowingly collect no information from anyone.
